Ciara has officially let that post-baby body out of the bag!
The mom who welcomed her first child just last year, Baby Future, has shared that she was able to lose all of her baby weight and get that body tight in just four months.
“When I was pregnant with Future, one thing I learned quickly was, don’t ever let a pregnant lady be hungry, because when I was, I was like the Tasmanian Devil!” she told ‘Shape’ for their September issue. “But as soon as the doctor said I could start training again, I was on the treadmill the very next day.”
Even though she lost the weight and looks absolutely amazing she admits that she didn’t go at it on her own, enlisting the help of the Kardashian family training coach, Gunnar Peterson.
“Five days a week, Gunnar puts me through an hour-long plyometric cardio circuit that always includes boxing elements,” she explains. “It’s hitting your muscles; it’s a cardiovascular workout; and it’s a mental exercise… After I’ve done a few rounds, I feel as if I can conquer the world.”
But to get the quick results that the ‘I Bet’ singer did, she had to make sure to attend the gym several times a day and of course she had to watch her diet.
She says, “I would go to Gunnar first for my one-hour training session, then I’d have two more cardio sessions later in the day,” Ciara reveals of her three-a-day workouts. “That, along with a really clean eating plan, was how I lost 60 pounds in four months.”
Ciara says that drinking water was a big part of her plan, but not a big secret. Water was her main key to success.
