Irving (knee) went through another full practice Monday, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.
Both Irving and Iman Shumpert went through the full workout, as they each work back from knee and wrist injuries, respectively. The backcourt duo are said to be returning “sooner rather than later,” but the Cavs are yet to release a target return date. Irving and Shumpert will sat out Tuesday against Portland, but they will travel on the team’s upcoming two-game road trip (Friday in Orlando, Tuesday in Boston). Initially, Christmas Day seemed like a realistic return goal, but considering the progress both players have made of late, it would not be surprising if they’re back slightly before that date.
